Rick, Your going to miss the "Albertville Friendly City Day's". More than likely your anxious to get the heck out of town this week-end. It's going to be a zoo around there. I'm at least 3 miles away from there and I can assure you I will be able to hear the bands on Friday and Saturday night sitting on my patio Two out of the 3 bands are good, however the other one is narcotic music Not my style
I have a couple of those little radios if any one else needs to borrow them. They work great for trips like that.

Well, I'm getting geared up. After spending the last 36 hours in bed SICK AS A DOG, I'm able to move around and get stuff done. (Caught some nasty bug Weds, made it 'till noon and went home sick. Made it as far as the bed or the can until this AM... feeling only slightly sub-human today.)
The car is ready... and I'll have a co-driver. Sheryl's coming back from the lake house this PM.

Rick-I'm good on the club stuff; sweatshirt, t-shirt, cap, and the license plate is already on the front!
Already had the Chevelle at Midas to eliminate about 16 muffler clamps with welds this a.m. Now it's at Goodyear getting a front alignment. The rear boxed control arms and sway bar go on this p.m.
Then it's time to pack the adult beverages and road snacks!

I'm sure others will provide more detail... but I just wanted to say that my wife Tina and I had a great time this weekend on the Fun Run (In spite of John S. and I stopping for gas more often than than the others thanks to 3.73 gears, the Sat. night rain storm, the GPS snafu's in Rhinelander, an unexpected stop at Crabby Kenny's Welding Shop on Sun. a.m., and driving back in 87 degree weather without AC)!!!
We enjoyed the driving, the company, great meals, and the unexpected 'fun' of sheared off bolts somewhere in Northern Wisconsin (Thanks to everyone on the cruise that helped get us back on the road)!
Thanks John S. for putting this together. We'll all have some great stories to share from the trip. All good ones of course!
We'll have to do this again next year but maybe a little closer or have a chase vehicle with tools and a portable welder! Posts: 591 | From: Rosemount, MN | Registered: Mar 2007
