They may have had a roll in from time to time, but the actual River Valley Rally started last year in July. It is put on by the Boy Scout Troop, and is a really nice small town get together. I think there is like 5 restuarants and bars within the closed off area. Pablo's Mexican is my favorite.

So what streets are considered 'downtown Shakopee'? There aren't any directions on the website.
Need directions coming from the Southeast metro (Rosemount).
Looks like tonight will be the best weather of the weekend so this might be the only time the Chevelle gets out of the garage... Posts: 591 | From: Rosemount, MN | Registered: Mar 2007

Just got back from Shakopee. Not a bad turnout! Lotsa Pontiac (Tempest/GTO's), some rods, and a few Chevelles (outside of NCC'rs).
They say it starts @ 6pm, but it's another Anoka/Hastings.... the "main drag" and most of the sidestreets were FULL by 6:00, and they were parking 1-1/2 blocks away at 6:10.
This could be the "no-breakage" maiden voyage for Tom B! He and Stan got there about 10 minutes after I did, so we parked together. Stuck a bunch of NCC cards under the wipers, and when we got back several were gone. Hopefully some new members!

Had a great time in Shakopee. Nice easy drive there, ate some good bar food, and an easier drive back home (some white '71 Chevelle blew by me on CR42 and rattled my windows off though... ).
Thanks Tom and John D. for hanging out tonight. As always, it's nice to be able to hang out with someone when walking around and looking at the cars.
Looks like this will be it for car shows this weekend unless it dries out on Sun. a.m. for the St. Paul swap meet.

Did anyone take some pictures to post on here. So we could see it ?? I was at Roy;s place in Anoka. Getting my exchast lined up. I took it loose to make some noise around the neighborhood. Then I couldn't get it lined back up. With out a little leakage. Then While on the hoist. Put in a new trans gasket. While doing that. I noticed one the rubber brake lines. Were almost rubbed thru. So changed that also. Man that was scary. Seeing that. With this Fun Run next weekend!! John Sinna showed up with his Chevelle. New motor installed. Sounds real good. John took me for a ride. He didn't pull on it real hard. But hard enough. To make this old mans heart race. Damn I've got to get a big block Nothing sounds better then a BBC. So it took me 20 mins longer to get back home. Then it did to get to Roy's place. It was just a great afternoon to be out in the Chevelle. I saw a couple of other Chevelles out there also. We waved at each other. I had the windows down & radio going. I was in never never land! Too bad this weekend is going to be a wash out. Posts: 557 | From: Minn. Soon to be Arizona | Registered: May 2009

Damn! Sorry to hear that John. I've got my camera all set for next weekend. I stuck it in the Chevelle this morning. So I won't forget it.
