I havent been to this show but I have always heard good things. Lots of stuff you dont see around here very often. The problem is its July 3rd, 4th, and 5th. So its right on the holiday weekend.

I have been there 3-4 times. Not quite as big as Car Craft, but comparable, about 3500 cars, but the parking and getting around is a lot better in Des Moines (at least with the wheelchair and such). Plus you don't have to get there at 2 AM to find a decent spot. The biggest plus might be the AIR CONDITIONED vendors hall that is huge. Really helps on those hot sweaty days. Most of the state fair beer gardens are also A/C and open. Lot of the same cars you see at CC and BTTF. Not much of a swap meet that I could ever find stuff, but all the major vendors/manufacturers are there. Not going this year, but have been looking at next year already. It would be fun to get a few people to go together, I have met some of my Nebraska friends at it. Really good fireworks! It seems a little more laid back then CC.
