Thanks for the compliments guys. It is not near as detailed as you guyses frame off cars, but it will be a nice one when I get done with it.

I just got back from the trip out there to the body shop. He said it should be just about done in 2 to 3 months. I guess that gives me time to put up some more drywall in the garage.

Well I sent more stuff to the powder coaters. Sent the bumper brackets, all the alternator brackets, a couple of clutch fans and other little odd stuff.

Looks like the car will be Monaco Orange. Black interior. I was going to go with the parchment but there seems to be too many pieces that are not available all the time like the headliner, plastic parts, head rests and such.

Haven't decided on the stripe color yet. Black or White.

They have the Batmobile in their shop right now. That is a neat car. It has a propane torch in the back and all the rest of the Batmobile stuff. I forgot legally it can't be called that. It is called a Gotham Cruiser officially.

Also I am busy cleaning up the chrome trim and finding odds and ends that have been put away for years. I found my original seat belts finally in the shed. Stuff like that.

Yeah Rick it's coming together. Hopefully I get it back before winter which I should. Then I can work on assembling the rest of the car by Spring or Summer of 09. I did get my fix and drive the old man's car yesterday a little after I cleaned the engine compartment a little.

I went up to check out the car today. I will take my camera tomorrow and get some pictures.

The top really came out pretty smooth. Can't surf the on the waves anymore.

Fenders are finished.

I think he is going to use the original passenger door instead of the new one.

I got to take the hood to him tomorrow.

Trunk lid is finished.

Driver's door is just about done.

They are planning on cutting in the paint next week. If they don't get any collision work in, it should be done sometime in Sept as far as body panel alignment, paint, wetsand and buffing.

I just can't beleive how much work they have done in the last week. I gotta get the garage half way decent before it comes home and child proof the garage.

I just took the original G.M. hood I had to them wednesday and they already got her blocked down. Sounds like the week after next they will put some paint down. I wish I had known about this place about 3 years and thousands of dollars before I took to the prison it was at before.

I went and took some new bolts to the shop for the car today. To my surprise there is orange paint on body parts now!!!!!! [Cool] Both front fenders have been cut in. The trunklid and the front valence panel have been cut in as well.

Next week they will finish the door jam areas and the trunk seal area. The car has been blocked down 3 times now. They said they were going to block the top and quarters down one more time.

I just can't believe there is some paint on something finally. They say they are going to probably use a 1 1/2 gallons of base coat on it to get to cover good. They are also spraying a white sealer on it and then wetsanding to get it to cover better.

Just that much closer.
