Hey I have that complete 350 4 bolt main from the 93 Truck on an engine stand in my garage. I have not done anything to it.....$300 and the stand goes with it if you need a motor.

I will wait to see if my 350 block I dropped off at the machine shop is a good block.
Once I find that out I will have to decide. If it is ok I plan to do a 383 out of it. If not I will reuse the 327 I had.
I think the big block is out for now. I would have to change way too many other things on the car to make that work. I plan to reuse my intake and heads and all the front accessories.

Mike I think a good 355 would run pretty well in your car with your heads that you have. The 383 will probably have a little more torque and power. Gotta make some mods to the block and a couple other things but thats it.

My new heads that I just had a valve job done have a water leak, leaking into the induction side prior to the combustion chamber. Actually after another conversation with the machine shop the heads had previous machine work and someone cut into the head under the intake valve seat and this is where the leaks are.(I now know where all the problems started)
I took these unknown heads in as I had bought them from a guy in town who also did not know their history. All this was fine with me as I paid very little for them so it was "take a chance".
When I took the heads in I asked them to check for cracks, see if they are true enough to rebuild and let me know.
I did not specifically ask for a pressure check and they did not do one. I am under the opinion that a mag check, which they did, and a pressure check are understood. As is a vacuum check after the job is complete to make sure the valves are sealing good.
Either way I am out a lot of money on these heads as I could have bought aftermarket ones for less than I paid to have all this stuff put in them.
