Rick I never saw your post originally but keep your eye on ebay for Mercury marine (mercruiser) fuel injection. It runs off of a stand alone computer that is very small and durable. You could use a stock throttle body setup off of a BB truck if you shortened the harness or bought one. You should be able to do it for the cost of a new 750DP holley.

Rick if your looking for gas milage I don't know if the throttle body injection is going to be much better than a carb. I remember those 454 SS trucks even with overdrive did not get that good MPG.
I know when I drove down to Sharon Woods the 67 used about 3/4 of a tank going 140 miles there and back. I got about 14 MPG out of it.
I am thinking if I rejet the carb down a couple sizes it will pick up a MPG or two. With the 3.73's in the back with the M-20 4-speed I can't see us getting over 18 MPG. Driving 55 mph seemed to get the best MPG.
I know with a set of 3.31's I could get 18 MPG easily.
That is one reason I am contemplating on keeping the 3.07 gearing in my 69. Plus I am thinking about changing to a hydraulic roller cam with lift around .540 or so in my 454. I want to get my engine idle vacuum back up around the 15-18 inch level if possible.
I guess if I went to fuel injection and an overdrive trans I would probably knock down about 22 mpg or better. I just don't have that kind of cash laying around plus the stocker look would be gone for me.
Oh Rick your car looked like it took off pretty good getting on I-675.

My tranny is an overdrive 4-speed out of a GM truck. Made by the same company that made the tranny's behind the 426 Hemi's and 440's They stood up a LOT better than Muncies.
A friend brought his M-22 over and put it up along side mine and mine was half again as big, if not bigger.
...and no the first gear isn't a granny. It was a 1500 CHEVY truck ...mid-80's.
If you want to get into fuel injection on a Big Block, talk to the street rodders. I hang out on several of their boards and learned a lot from hanging out with them. I can hook you up with a guy that is a REAL rodder and not some TV star.
