Well, the plan is to finish all of the welding on Ricks car..trunk,quarters, rear panel, grind possible fill,,primer...depending on the temp. we might have to close the door,,,then depending on which way we decide to do the front and roof,,,I have suggested to Rick,,with the donor car he has,,just to do a front clip removal,,remove the roof and firewall at the same time,,and transplant it to his..I can't say for sure...that we will need to do this ...till I see what we have to work with...So we will decide when we have the two cars together,,use the best of the best..with all hands a workin we should have him at least welded up..and ready for finishing... also Rick do you have any place for the motor? if so i can bring it up in the donor car...but we will need a hoist...that way I can rearange my garage..and bring out the other motor..for the chevelle...so I can put her to work on it...lol any more questions fire them in here..and Rick or I will answer as best as we can...plan on alot of metal work and grinding...taken her to the metal!

As Randy stated, we're going to replace the roof for sure , maybe finnish welding on quarters and trunk floor , rockers , maybe hang front clip to check gaps and so on . So if any of you can bring electric grinders , small hand tools , rotary wire brushes and so on that would be a big help. I'll see what i can do about a bigger air compressor but i can't promise . If you want to bring the motor up Randy that's fine , i'll have to put it in the garage . I can get a hoist from work . I'm hoping some things will get done before then .

Sounds like some real hands on experience is going to be going on at the montly meeting. I have an air file sander, orbital sander, and a hand file. I might be able to bring a wire welder, I think it only runs on 110.

I think we might have someone that knows how to rebuild those things as well. Do you need a new front suspension? Undercar Specialties can get stuff cheap. We could install that as well. That would take no power tools just elbow grease.

i'll have my generater on my truck it will run almost anything 110. i'd hate for Amy's chilie get cold because we're blowing the breakers.LOL jerry

Hey Bill , I ordered from a place in West viginia called DME. If you want I can give you the phone # . He is usually at the springfeild swap meet in the spring . The price of the kit was 169.00 for the basic kit or you can get the deluxe kit which has the sliders and I'm not sure what else for like 250.00.

I got the kit for the muncie yesterday , man that was quick I just ordered it last thursday. That's one more thing that can be done at the meeting if we have time and man power .
