Anyone interested in starting a contact list of local shops/vendors/resources? I will be more than willing to provide a bunch of contacts. I was thinking of something like the company name, phone, address, website, and what service they offer. I'm sure there will always be the places people will swear to go with as well as be against, but I know how valuable having multiple options can be.

Great idea Bryan. I'm always wondering where to take things of one type or another. I doubt if I could be of much help as I am 130 miles south of you guys, but you never know what I can dig up for people.

Not a bad idea, my only concern would be if someone gets burned by someone "endorsed" by the club, they might not be too happy with us.
If there's a list of vendors for each type of service, then I think it would be good. For example Engine builder "A" might be a con-artist. If we list only him, it makes us look bad. If we list him, as well as builders "B", "C", "D", and "E" then it if someone gets scammed, they can't blame us. Posts: 1446 | From: Dexter, MN | Registered: Aug 2004

Yeah, this is only a contact list, not any kind of endorsement. The more the merrier I say. All day long I use various vendors and I know that some are better than others, but sometimes you can't avoid using a particular one since they're a last chance or the only one who has it, etc.
I ask one favor: Please send me a list of anyone YOU want to see on the list. I certainly don't know everyone everywhere, and it would be easier to send in a single list instead of a bunch of us.
I'll accumulate the lists you send in and start working on it today.

OK, let's get a list going. I need to know a business name, city, website, and phone number. If you don't have all that, it's cool, but I need at least a name to start with.
Let 'em fly. I have approx 50 already, but the more the merrier.

We have a list started on the 'links' page in the other club site.
If you want to add to it, let me know, it is easy enough to do. Though some stuff I have not found how to modify as I don't know how it was setup in yahoo site builder.
Link Tony provided. hint. hint. I can't so anything on this site, only moderators can. hint. hint.

John-that's a good list, I was thinking of more local places-especially for the gotta-have-it-now stuff. It came about when I ran into needing a fuel pressure regulator and ended up 2nd daying it from a place in CA.
