YUP> What Dave said. The car seemed to run better now then it ever did. Did a nice 8 to 12 foot burn out. Before Dave took his foot out of it. But no pinging or bog down at anytime. But Dave thinks its a Track car. Goes to fast into the corners!!!! Other then that. Theres a few things to go over. But with Dave & Mike living so far away from each other. I see this taking a while. But its coming together. Just need to spend time with the car MIKE. Maybe one day this summer Mike can make it to Anoka with us.

My in-laws, wife and son met Dave in Becker yesterday as he took the chevelle to the car show there.
We got into Becker and found the car parked at the gas station with about 20 guys gathered around the hood admiring the work.
I was able to drive it around the block with the father in-law. WOW. So far it runs really good. For the first time in my life I was able to squeel the tires from a dead stop. I dont know ho wmuch HP/Torque it has right now but I have the itch and may want MORE.

The car is still at Daves house. I ordered a dash harness from Auto City Classic and that should be at my house soon. It seems like that is the only major thing left to do.

I need need to fix the passenger door handle, get new hinges for the doors, new hood hinges and get the hood and doors to line up correctly. The paint is chipping in the door and hood areas.

Otherwise, thanks to DAVE, JAMIE, RICK and CHRIS for helping me out.

Yea it was real great to walk out of a store and find someone trying to pop the hood. My first thought was I'm getting into a fight over this car. Then the guy asks "how to open the hood" it was Mike. Later he asked "PERMISSION" to drive the car, DUDE ITS' YOUR CAR DRIVE IT! Then I heard someone spinning the tires and knew when I left Becker cops would be looking for me. I met the owner of a 68 Chevelle at the show that I have emailed for about 3 years. Now he will need to join the club. He was looking for SOME GUY DAVE in the club so I gave directions to Ricks house. [Big Grin]

I recieved the dash harness in the mail yesterday, as well as, the radiator clips.

The harness looks real nice. Hopefully, it will be easy to install and hook up. It better be -- almost $400.00 for the harness.

That's what those fog lights were in the grill for then. It makes sense now. Don't fix the lights, just put in others. [Wink]

We still need to re-align those exhaust pipes too. Its annoying to look at the back and see those tail pipes looking like that.

Chris.

Dave told me that I was going to buy the floorpans and the rest of the stuff. How much and what is all there?

As of right now, I only want to get this harness in and see if it takes care of the problem and GET THE CAR HOME. If it does not fix the lighting problem in the back and gets the gauges working then I still want to get the car home.

Dave has been a awesome help and it is time to get my car out of there and get his up and running.

My little 2 year old has been asking about where Daddy's Chevelle is at? He had a grin ear to ear when he saw the Chevelle the first time up in Becker. Its awesome having a son who likes this stuff. Hopefully, he does not grow out of it. [Big Grin]

Oh, by the way. Amanda had her ultrasound and we are having a GIRL. [Eek!]
