Remember the 66 Malibu 4 dr. Hardtop we played with at a January Meeting a couple of years ago? Made a little progress recently. Doors and trunk are on car. Body shell is in color. (green), ie: doors, trunk, roof, 1/4 panels, and jambs. Will get re-shot complete prior to final assembly. Driveline is in car. Seats are all re-upholstered. Car needs wiring, all dash components, a/c, glass, and front sheetmetal installed. Still a long way to go, however, at least it looks like a car again. Kinda fun playing with multiple projects. Worked on the Biskwik seats today. Cleaned latches, prepped and painted tracks. Put the latches and tracks on. The powdercoat on seat frames looks outstanding. Frames go to Upholstery Shop tomorrow. Still have to pull the headliner, clean paint and insulate inside of roof. Need to have my favorite body tech. finish fabricating the shifter hump section. Floor is repaired where it was chopped up to clear the old supershifter. Insulate and soundeaden the floor, and it is ready for carpet. Lost my stalls at Shop. Something about not having room for the new Tech. and all my "treasures". Malibu goes to storage. Biskwik will get bounced around building while I play with it this winter. Hopefully it will look way different by the January meeting.
