- 1-Wire Alternator Info - If you have a 1 wire alternator in you street rod, custom or daily driver are you aware that parts for these are not stocked in most parts houses? I found this out last year when mine quit in Prescott, Arizona while I was on a trip and couldn't find the parts I needed in a town with over 10 parts houses.

- Carb sizing - One of the first things to determine is what size carburetor do you need? A number of
factors come into play. What cubic inch size is your motor? What do you do with it? Race,
street use, towing, street use with occasional trips to the track? What type of intake
manifold do you have, split plenum, open plenum, tunnel ram, individual runner? How fast
do you spin the motor? What is the volumetric efficiency of the motor?

- Speedometer Gear Selection - Many of you have changed tire size or axle ratio on your Chevelle and now the speedo reads too high or low. While this can be
corrected with an aftermarket ratio adapter, I like to change the speedometer driven gear at the rear of the tranny to correct for
error. If you want "correct", this is the way to go.

- Speedometer Recalibration - New tires and wheels are a great addition to any car. The look and perform better than stock. Another popular modification to get your car to perform better is to install lower (numerically higher) rear gears. With wider tires, taller wheels and lower rear gears, the change is dramatic.
