Classifications & Judging for 2008

*** NEW FOR 2008 ***

JUDGING IS ON SATURDAY ONLY!

All Classes will be judged on a point system

Classes

  1. Original Unrestored

Cars entered in this class should exhibit minimal restoration of the body, interior, engine and trunk area. Cars in this class are judged on the basis of their originality and condition. The paint, interior, each part or group of parts is judged on an all or nothing point basis for originality. Parts may be replaced due to mechanical malfunction, NOT for the purpose of "looks" or restoration. If the part has been restored or has been replaced with a non-stock component, the car will not receive originality points for that particular item. Original or GM maintenance parts may be used to receive full credit for originality. In cases where GM parts are not readily available, Delco replacement parts may be substituted for 60% of the available originality points. The use of aftermarket parts is grounds for complete loss of originality points, regardless of its condition. Additional points may be awarded for the condition of the paint, each part or group of parts. No point deduction will be made for owner installed options as long as those options were available from the factory or the dealer for that model car during that model year. Class includes all years 1964-1972.

  2. Original Restored

Cars entered in this class should exhibit more than average restoration and 100% of the car may be restored to factory specifications. Cars in this class are judged on originality and condition. Judges award points based on each area's likeness to assembly line parts and finishes. Each part or group of parts is judged on an all or nothing points basis for originality. If the part has been restored incorrectly or replaced with a non-stock component, the car will not receive originality points for that particular item. Original or GM replacement parts may be used to receive full point credit for originality. In the cases where the GM parts are not readily available, Delco replacement parts may be substituted for 60% of the available points for originality. The use of aftermarket parts is grounds for complete loss of originality points, regardless of its condition. No point deductions are made for paint color change, interior color change, or owner installed options as long as they were available from the factory or the dealer during that model year for that model car. Class is broken down as follows ...years 1964-65, 1966-67, 1968-69, 1970, and 1971-72.
