Greg and Beccy Kline?s 1967 Chevelle SS 396 -- Back in the garage she went for some major motor work this time. Another friend had hooked me up with a guy that builds Hi-performance engines (mainly big blocks). He was willing to come to my house, help me pull the engine out and take it to his machine shop for an overhaul. The diagnosis did not take very long: main bearings shot, piston rings gone, connecting rods worn out and the cylinder walls were scored. The engine still had the original GM stainless steel crankshaft in it and it had not yet been turned! All the new parts were ordered, the crank was turned, balanced and the cylinders bored to .040.
