Pat and Michele Coffey's 1972 Chevelle Malibu -- I purchased my 1972 Chevelle Malibu in 1999 based on an ad I saw at the Portland Swap Meet. The car has a L65 350 (whopping 165 hp) engine,T-350 trans, PS and AM radio. That was it for options. From the story I received when I bought the car, I am the third owner. The story is that it was originally purchased by a young couple just before he shipped out to Vietnam. Apparently he was killed overseas and his widow returned the car to the dealer to sell. The second owner purchased the car with about 1100 miles on it. She worked at a paper mill in Washington, and the chemicals from the emissions severely oxidized the paint. She had the car until she died, and I purchased it from her son for $2350. I found the build sheet behind the rear seat back. According to the sheet, the car was built in the Van Nuys, CA plant and sold to Stoddard Chevrolet in Albany, Oregon.
