Melody Saxe's 1964 El Camino -- We decided to call on the close one, in Damascus, not even sure we'd catch anyone home on Mother's Day. As luck would have it, the owner was home and said "Come on out.? The motorcycle was running great, and the ride was very enjoyable. As we approached the house, the sun was shining on the El Camino. The paint gleamed and the chrome absolutely sparkled. What a pretty sight! The guy started it up and the original stock 283 purred like a happy kitten. The interior was about 95% original, and the exterior had originally been painted red at the factory. The outside trim and chrome was all original, except some really ugly side view mirrors (which were replaced as fast as was humanly possible with 1964 reproduction mirrors).
