Mark and Penny Holling's 1965 Chevelle L79 -- A few years ago, I decided to fix up the Chevelle. I looked for restoration shops and chose NW CARS. It was a love/hate relationship for over a year. I know that I should have stepped up and done it my self, but it would have taken much longer than a year and it would not be nearly as nice. During restoration, the car was stripped, media blasted and all of the cancer/rust was repaired. The engine was rebuilt, balanced, and blueprinted. Then the car was reassembled to look like it did right after I purchased it. I still have the original wheels and covers but that’s not my car. I put the Magnum 500 wheels back on it with red line tires. It still has the aftermarket wood steering wheel that Penny gave me for Christmas. The only change I made was to go back to the original shifter style that came with the car. I loved my Hurst shifter so we compromised and I did go back to the original shifter look with a Hurst shifter body hid under the boot. Kevin and his crew at NW CARS did a great job of putting it back to original condition right down to the college parking sticker in the back window.
