Gene Bolante's 1970 Chevelle "Big 6" -- When I was just over a year old, in May of 1970, my parents bought a brand new two door hardtop Chevelle at Nickey Chevrolet in Chicago. I grew up with the 1970 Chevelle. And, as the salty Chicago Winter rust began to take another inch off the bottom of the body, my parents allowed me, at 12 years old, to dabble in body work. After 13 years of having been a daily driver, the many dents, dings, rust and quarts of oil took its toll. The Chevelle was sold for $50 in the fall of 1983.
