Gene Bolante's 1970 Chevelle "Big 6" -- When I returned from a school break, to Chicago from Montana State University (Bozeman,Montana), I found an original rust free Chevelle in the local Trading Times. The price seemed fair and it was close by. The current owner had loaned the Chevelle to a family member to take on a trip from California to the east coast. Since the front end was worn out, the shimming and wobbling got the best of the driver and he gave up and left the Chevelle parked in Chicago. The Chevelle came with a six cylinder, three speed column shift, original cranberry red paint, black vinyl top and ivory interior. Other than tinted windows, it was a plain Jane model.
