I rebuilt the front and rear end of my 71 with Moog products I have used their stuff for years on my daily drivers and hot rods and all I can say is install it and forget it for the next 100,000 miles (keep grease in it of course) I used PST polygraphite bushings with Moog ball joints and tie rods on my 66 and could tell a better ride albeit firmer, but my car was completely wore out when I replaced all that stuff. I have used the cheap offshore junk on junkers that I knew wasn't going to live very long and that's exactly what it is.... junk! You will be replacing it all over again within 2 years, which is about how long those junkers would last me before I sent them to the great junkyard in the sky!!

Josh Campbell 66 SS 396 (Black on the rotisseree, 1st car never part with it) 66 SS 396 (Red got it on a trade I only wanted the steering wheel) 87 Monte Carlo SS Sadly sold it guy offered me more than I thought it was worth 71 Malibu FOR SALE NEED MORE SPACE IN THE SHOP!!!!! You should never have a battle of wits with morons ... they'll just drag you down to their level & beat you with experience.

Hi Tim,

Now that you have said it, I see the Moog name on page 75 in the ball joints and bushings area. It would be good to put it on the rebuild kit area too. The difference from roughly $200 to $500 is huge, is Moog really that much better? Maybe that could be explained on the site as well.

Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

There is a reason the prices are different. There are different manufacturers of the same part. So you could go with Brand A, American made and costs $40, or Brand B, Chinese made that costs $20. Plus Brand B might not fit exactly perfect, or any other issues we have all run across using junk like that.

I work at True Connections and I can tell you our kits are all MOOG brand(OEM), which is the best and highest quality stuff. We only supply the best fitting and highest quality parts we can. So that's why our front end kit costs more, because we use the best quality parts we can find. I actually just rebuilt the front end on my car, using True Connections kit. Everything fit great, no issues at all. I know it's probably coming off as a biased opinion, but we really do sell the best.

Hope this helps, feel free to ask any questions,

Tim

Hi Guys,

I'm about to rebuild the front end of my '65 Malibu. These vendors are close to home but prices for a kit are all over the place!
$484 at True Connections http://trueconnections.com (50 miles away.)
$259 at Classic Performance Products (no center link) www.classicperform.com (25 miles.)
$239 at Car Shop (no center link) www.truckandcarshop.com (20 miles.)
 $190 at Muscle Factory www.muscle-factory.com (25 miles.)

Are there other vendors to consider?

Are there reasons to prefer one over the other?

Thanks for your opinion.
