[Chevelle-list] Timimg cover leak

I'm finally getting round to an annoying leak that I've had for years.
I've pulled water pump & balancer. I plan to loosen (not drop) oil
pan. Suspend it by mount bolts maybe 1/8-1/4 inch below block. Its a 1
piece seal BTW. Pull timing cover - clean mounting surfaces and
reinstall with new lip seal, & gasket. Believe I should use some type of
sealer at the corners where pan & timing cover meet (thats where I believe
the leak is coming from). So am I missing anything obvious or critical
and what seealer is recommended. Thanx.
