No, sorry , you don't know what you are talking

i'll take into consideration what you THINK. I've been through the ASE
collison repair/refinishing classes so I happen to know a little about what
I'm talking about. New vehicles are FAR superior to cars made 20+ years
ago in the crash survival department.
Your cash for clunkers reference just shows how
much you REALLY know, which is nothing. Vehicles 25 years and older were
never eligible for that program...next. ALSO, unless you were in that
lab where that crash video was filmed (Which I am positive you were not), you
have absolutley no right to claim as to what the conditions were with either
of the 2 vehicles
By the way, learn how to type
properly.

You Do The Research.. How Many Are Thrown From Vehicles
Today VS. Yesteryear!! The Doors Today Are Glued On The Latches Give
Way See How Many At Totally Trown Fron The Car Today Vs In The Early
Years.. I KNOW What I Am Talking About I Have Worked On Cars For 50
Years.. But Bottom Line Is The Video In Question And The 59 Was Not
Bolted Together To Give Everybody The Idea That They Are Better, Just
Another Cash For Clunkers Video. Trade Off The Old Buy The
New..

You're an idiot, sorry, but that's just
the truth. Old cars, old engineering. They aren't
deisgned to be energy absorbing..new cars are. Early
Iron...best route..hardly. How many people were killed in
wrecks back then compared to now....do some research before you go
shooting off what you OPINION is vs. what the TRUTH is.

I got some news for you
therre skippy. That 2009 car is built from much
stronger metal than the 59 Impala is. Not to mention
the 2009 car is much more structurally sound than the 59
as well as the fact that the metal in the 59 has had 50
years to begin deteriorating. News cars are designed
so the passenger compartment doesn't crush and it did it's
job. That video is very real. If you were
driving the 59 Impala in that video..you'd be dead,
period.

Friggin Tree And Only Put A V In The Front. Yes It
Was A Waste Of A Beautiful Car But Re-Look The
Video Over Can't Be Real.. Slight Knee Injury??

Hey all,
I need to redo my parking brakes, but I only see systems for 66 without 400 (They didn't come with them originally) but I have a turbo 400. The system for 400 is listed as a 67? Does anyone know what I should get?
Thanks,
Dan

1967 TH400 car. The front and intermediate
cables are different length than the non TH400 counterparts due to the
location of the crossmember.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] YouTube Crash
I have been a member of this list for over three years and I very rarely
post an email but now I must chime in because if I don't this list won't be
worth the web space it takes up!
OK - so everyone has an opinion... nice to see a friendly chat group can be
so obtuse! Really, is it about what we know or can claim what other don't
know without "Certs" Really? - It's a video that can be doctored in many
ways or can be 100% factual. Unless you are part of the Insurance Institute
for Highway Safety and can swear under oath that both cars were built or
restored to 100% factory specs the video is subject to speculation. But as
far as I am concerned this went from a friendly supportive chat group to a
group of borderline hostile "let me prove my point" no-it-alls. If this is
what the list is becoming; then perhaps the name should change from
Chevelle-list to "What-The-Hell-Do-I-Care-About-Your-Opinion-List"
If you all want to continue to argue and attempt to prove your own point -
please do it off line as to not clutter my email.
Thanks!
Frank
