  • Committee Report: Nothing new to report.  Larry asked for people to submit cars and projects for the feature and project cars.
  • New Business: Suggested that we do away with a couple of meetings in the winter months, due to lack of new business and lack of activities.  We also set the June meeting the day of the Cruise the 'Burg Car Show.  Discussed changing the By-laws to reflect the changes with the winter month meetings and also the day of the meetings.
  • Guest speaker: Randy Chamblin brought Jr. Lewis to speak to us and tell us about his parts shop.  He carries or can order a full line of aftermarket and restoration parts.  He brought in some examples of his products and was nice enough to give them to us.  He is a certified Goodmark dealer, but can get cheaper products as well.  He has offered the club a 10% discount on some parts.  He seems to be a little cheaper than most places.  He has been added to the business page as a preferred supplier.

***Look for Chris to be listed on the Preferred Business Section, soon.***

The Chevellabration is June 3-5. I think the entry forms for the show will be in the next Chevelle World magazine that A.C.E.S puts out Remember you have to be an A.C.E.S. member to participate in the show. If your not a member I think there is some info and a link to ACES on the Team Chevelle website.

As far as the Springfieldf Trim Parts Swapmeet on May 28-30, I know I can be there until about 12:30 p.m. or so on Friday and all day Sat. and Sunday.
We had numerous volunteers to be there at the meeting, but let DG know via email if and when you plan to attend. That way the people manning our booth gets some rest and time to walk around the swap meet themselves.

Well guys Jerry Michaels E-mailed me and said that he has June 26 open on the Cruise the Burg cruise in Miamisburg. He wants to know if that date would be OK if the club helped him out on that day parking cars and directing traffic and all that stuff. The Chevelle will be the featured car and we have the center of the town as well and we can set up our booth. I think this would be a Club Event.
Jerry is a member as most of us know but since most of our meeting are on Sundays he can't attend because of work. We can also have our meeting before the cruise. I think we might have an earlier than usual meeting though. It is on a Saturday. I don't think we have anything planned for that weekend. We need to know who is coming. Check in on the Forum, in the Events Topic for more details.

  • The Treasurer's Report was read: Checking account balance was disclosed,
  • The Vice President Report: No official report other than to comment on the web page. Feature and project car's are needed, detailed info and pictures of any kind (digital, 35 mm). Send email to DG to work out any details.

DG also said if you want something added to your member page let him know.

  • Committee Report: The club will vote on the events listed based on member interest which events will be selected as OFFICIAL CLUB EVENTS. Make your choices known, send email to DG.
  • New Business:Dave Henry went over the MD car show.
He will be getting 5,000 flyers made for the show and he is planning on putting our name on the show so that will be a great combo for us helping out Jerry's kids and getting some recognition for the club as well.
Dave says that it would be nice if we could have as many door prizes as possible (i.e.. a free oil change certificate). In the future we will be getting in touch with the people that want to volunteer to help park cars, dish out the food and the gophering.

Guys and Gals this will be good experience for us to be involved in this if we are to have an all Chevelle show in 2005.

  • New Business:Larry Presented a flyer to be handed out (it will be posted on the web too)
  • New Business:The club voted to purchase 50 Show and Shine Calendars so all the members will know the date, location and time of most of the shows in and around Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana and Michigan.
They can be purchased for 12.00/each and then $2.00 of that goes to the Muscular Dystrophy Charity. They will go fast. I have already sold 4 and I don't have them yet. We will make sure members get them first though. So chime in around the last of April and check to see if they are in yet.
  • Attendance: Larry Grigbsy, DG Adams, Rick Shoemaker, Dave Maphet, Graig & Gail Holder, Dave Henry, Paul Muller, Randy Chamberlin, John Singer, Jerry Paddock, Jeff Baker, Jack Koeler, Mike Woodford, Ken Balcom, Dave Maphet, Ron Taylor, Mike Bogan, Steve Martin, John Gilligan
