Tom and Chrissy Kinman's 71 Chevelle
Aquia Harbour, VA

Our first Chevelle!  We picked it up 2 years ago after searching for many years.  We had it for only a few months when I was taking it for a spin around the neighborhood and the rubber fuel line burst and sprayed on the dist and the flames were so huge we had to just call 911 and cry.  My extinguisher was no match.  A very sad day!  Everything under the hood that could melt, did.  The fire was contained under the hood except all of the wiring going through the firewall melted.  Insurance (thank God) paid for the entire repair.  4 months later everything under the hood and dash was looking brand new again.

We got the car from a guy that worked at my company in Boise, ID.  It turns out the VIN confirms it was a true Malibu assembled in 71 in Van Nuys, CA.  We are the 5th owners and all 5 of us were in Idaho.  We've only been here for 2 months.  My wife and I believe that the Chevelle is the best looking muscle car on the planet and that's why we bought one.  We will have it forever!

The previous owner had 4.11s in the rear end and he also had a big block 502 under the hood.  When I got the car it still had the '100 MPH CLUB' window stickers.  He said it's best time was 12.8 @ 104.  We haven't been to the track with this 350 and 3.31s and we may never.  It's plenty fast for us, sounds good, looks good, and makes us smile every time we get in it.  We will continue to take it to all of the local/regional shows as soon as we find out the schedule.

Robert Jennings 72 Chevelle Convertible

This convertible is the long awaited replacement for my mint condition '68 El Camino that was sold almost 20 years ago when I joined the Foreign Service.  I'm the 3rd owner of this #'s matching, 307CI-powered, w/auto, weekend driver. It has a documented title history of less than 45K miles.  The original manuals and Protect-O-Plate w/card were included with the purchase.  It's currently fitted out externally as a clones "SS", the Malibu's original bucket seats and shifter console were harvested by the second owner for another restoration.  Plans are to replace these units, upgrade the dash, and other trim items to "SS" standards.  Long term plans include adding aftermarket A/C, after upgrading the 307's output and cooling capacity.
