Mark, what do we need...We may want to have a meeting just for the Autorama...I need to know what kind of an idea what you want me to do....

Joe
Most important thing I need right know is Manicans for the assembly line.

Mike Ely is working on more Stantions
JP is working with Ron Hietman to secure the area we need.
Bob Filby is working on eisles to hold up our show boards and other posters.

I need you to concentrate on organizing an area to show off collectables. Bob, JP, and others did a nice job setting up a display table last year to show off Die Cast Chevelles. The kids really loved that stuff!!! Mike Ely wanted to bring down a bunch of stuff like gas pumps & glass display cases but we did not have the time to develop the whole idea. I like the garage door idea but that is a lot of work.

I have asked everyone I know about some dummies...they said ask the ford guys.......LOL
I will keep asking....I may have a line on a few but have to get back with the person. I have some die cast chevelle's, not alot but a few. Can we advertise the show????

jdesmont 11-02-2006 02:14 PM

I will have some kind of answer by Friday on the dummies....I have a friend that just opened a bridal shop and she has a connection to the dummies.....

Joe,We definitly advertize the show as well as getting members for the club.Ron Heitman and the ISCA(International Show Car Association)encourage it.If you don't put your car in the autorama I will steal it and enter it myself.LOL

Mark, I need to talk to you about the garage for the show, we can either have 1 side, the front or 3 sides, like the inside of the garage, we can set our displays inside and let people come in, and have perhaps ed's car half way in with some scattered tools and such???? We can use this for free....I should have some info on the manicans today. I also left a message for the advertising director at the Rock hall about the picture.....

What type of collectibles do you want?????? I have some 1960's oil cans, I aslo have a & w car hop trays with fake food, I have a drive in movie speaker, (we need to make a pole to hold it), is this the kind of stuff you are looking for????? Do we want a full size gas pump??? I may have a line on one, I also have a 3' X 3' Metal Coke sign, and a 60's Traffic Light????? Let me know.

I will leave it up to you Joe. I want to focus on the assembly line. Just remember, everything you add to the display means more time and effort to set up.

Joe - more advice ---- Pick a theme and stick with it. In General I want to show the life cycle of the Chevelle - Factory to Showroom to Backyard Modifications - to Profesional Restoration. Your car will be in the Backyard Modification stages so come up with whatever.....

Mark,

Do you have a list as to who's cars are going to be in the show? I know at one point it was mentioned that my car was a possibility (which is cool).

Let me know of any help you need.

Shawn
